(&#8220;Cheniere&#8221;) (NYSE American: LNG) today provided updates on company operations resulting from Hurricane Harvey, and announced that it will make a\u00a0$1 million\u00a0donation to the\u00a0American Red Cross\u00a0to assist in the relief and recovery efforts following the storm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our thoughts and prayers are with all of our neighbors and communities here in\u00a0Texas\u00a0and\u00a0Louisiana that have been impacted by this devastating and continuing storm,&#8221; said\u00a0Jack Fusco, President and CEO of Cheniere. &#8220;While Cheniere has been lucky to avoid any major impacts from Harvey, many in our communities have a long road ahead to assess the damage and recover from this storm. To help in the relief efforts, Cheniere will donate\u00a0$1 million\u00a0to the Red Cross Harvey relief efforts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cheniere conducted initial assessments of impact from Hurricane Harvey. At\u00a0Sabine Pass, LNG production operations continued through the storm. Early assessments of the\u00a0Corpus Christi\u00a0construction site by Cheniere and our EPC partner\u00a0Bechtel\u00a0showed only minor cosmetic impacts. Cheniere is currently working to contact all employees to ensure they are safe and assess their needs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/steer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3258-Large-1170x772.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-961 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/steer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_3258-Large-1170x772.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3258-Large-1170x772\" width=\"297\" height=\"196\" \/><\/a>&#8220;Now that the storm has passed through our\u00a0Corpus Christi\u00a0construction site, we are pleased to report that\u00a0Corpus Christi\u00a0saw no major impacts, and no interruption of LNG production at\u00a0Sabine Pass\u00a0has been experienced,&#8221; said Fusco. &#8220;Moving forward, Cheniere will focus on helping our hometown of\u00a0Houston\u00a0recover and the communities around\u00a0Corpus Christi\u00a0rebuild.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As the storm is expected to continue to impact the\u00a0Houston\u00a0area, Cheniere has activated its emergency office location in\u00a0Dallas\u00a0to support its gas supply and trading division and other essential functions to ensure obligations are met to continue producing LNG at\u00a0Sabine Pass.<\/p>\n<p>Cheniere&#8217;s severe weather and safety teams remain activated and continue to monitor the remnants of Hurricane Harvey.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>About Cheniere: Cheniere Energy, Inc., a\u00a0Houston-based energy company primarily engaged in LNG-related businesses, owns and operates the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in\u00a0Louisiana.
