Energy Industry Update – 05/23/2019

The United States had 987 drilling rigs in operation at the end of last week.

Texas ended last week with a total of 482 drilling rigs in operation.

The Texas Railroad Commission issued 345 drilling permits last week to bring the 10-week rolling average to 314.

Natural gas prices ended last week at an average of $2.63 per mmbtu.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude prices ended last week at an average of $62.25 per barrel.

Gasoline prices across Texas ended last week at an average of $2.57 per gallon.
